PIP report Nº6

TÜV, the German body responsible for the certification of PIP breast implants, was sentenced last January 20, 2017 by the Toulon Commercial Court in France, to compensate with 3,000 € to 20,000 plaintiffs, all victims of fraudulent prosthetics.

This is a procedure different from ours which was in a more advanced stage; despite the fact that it is undoubtedly a good new, which we celebrate, we must be cautious with expectations since that judgment will probably be appealed before the Court of Appeal (which could revoke that judgment, as it did with the first favourable ruling of November 13, 2013); therefore, we continue waiting for the European Court of Justice and the French Court of Cassation to rule on the PIP case.
